As with most cities, Vienna International Airport is located just outside the city. The map of the districts of Vienna shows the location of the airport southeast of the city in the province of Lower Austria. Nevertheless, the connection Vienna Airport – city center is very well developed.

How to get from the airport to the city center?

There are several means of transport to choose from. The choice should be made depending on the destination. Although this can be decided on-site, it is better if you make a selection in advance and plan the trip to the city center before you arrive.

We recommend to buy the Vienna City Card online, namely the Vienna City Card Transfer, which includes the use of public transport and airport transfer. This gives you unlimited mobility when you arrive at the airport, as you can use the City Airport Train, the Railjet, the S-Bahn or the Vienna Airport Lines for free with the City Card.
