In its role as the world capital of music, the city of Vienna offers not only classical music, operas or operettas, but also numerous musicals. There are several stages in the center of the city for the diverse forms of the music entertainment theater.
The Raimundtheater and the Ronacher bring big international and local musicals to Vienna and the Volksoper, Vienna’s big house for operetta, opera, musical and ballet, shines with musical classics in their own production.

Rebecca – Das Musical im Raimund Theater
The two most successful German-speaking musical authors Michael Kunze & Sylvester Levay (“Elisabeth”, “Mozart!”) have created another great masterpiece that has already captivated more than 2 million visitors worldwide in 12 countries and 10 languages. The VBW hit musical REBECCA is finally returning to the Raimund Theater! Tickets for the performances until the end of January 2024.

Das Phantom der Oper 2024
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s masterpiece “The Phantom of the Opera” returns to Vienna in spring 2024. The brand new production of the world-famous masterpiece has already been completely sold out in Great Britain, the USA and Australia, where it was recently seen at the important Sydney Opera House. On the occasion of the 60th birthday of the “King of Pop” Michael Jackson, the brand-new musical “BEAT IT!” Celebrated its world premiere at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. Already in 2019 there were some performances in Vienna, on April 11, 2020, the musical can be seen again in the Wiener Stadthalle.
