Schlossbergbahn and Schlossberg with clock tower in Graz
The Schlossberg with the Graz clock tower is the symbol of the city of Graz, but also known far beyond the borders. The clock tower is thus a symbol of Styria and is definitely a must-see attraction when visiting the city. Not only is the landmark located on the Schlossberg, but it is also rewarded with a wonderful view of the old town of Graz.
To get to Schlossberg there are basically three options: the Schlossbergbahn, the Schlossberglift and a footpath. The train takes visitors up a 60% gradient in just a few minutes. Another good option is the ride on the Schlossberglift, a glass cabin inside the mountain. Access to the lift is at the entrance of the Grazer Mörchenbahn and the Dom im Berg.
Alternatively, you can reach the mountain via the 260 steps of the Felsensteig.
Dachstein and Skywalk Dachstein
Although there is a skywalk in the immediate vicinity of Vienna, on the Hohe Wand and on the Hochkar, the most famous and spectacular one is on the Dachstein. Castle Riegersburg and birds of prey
Close to the Zotter Erlebniswelt or visible from afar, the Riegersburg rests on a basalt cone. The way to the castle, which has never been conquered over the centuries, can be done over the already difficult footpath or effortlessly by means of an inclined elevator. For the adventurous there is also a via ferrata at the castle.
